Kiowa came to the Park
through the efforts of Cat Tales and the
Humane Society of the
United States (HSUS).
She was around 6 months
old and very terrified. She was being sold at an animal auction in South
Dakota.
The person bidding on her made the statement that he wanted " use her to teach hunting dogs to chase cougars."
A member of the HSUS
overheard this statement and out bid the "hunter".
Cat Tales was contacted
since we have helped effect several rescues with HSUS.
Kiowa was brought to the
Park where she soon discovered
that there are some
humans who do care.
She lives next door to
Samson here at Cat Tales and thinks he is pretty cute.
She has stolen the hearts
of the Park's staff and has become a bit spoiled.
