This page (and the new Northwest Animal Area) is currently under construction. Thanks for your patience. New Animals
We are expecting to have Phase One of the project completed by December 1, 2018. (Sunny and Blue, coyote pups, will be the first to move into the "doggy dorms" before Thanksgiving).
We are reusing/re-purposing some of our existing kennel fencing that the animals are currently occupying, and so we need to move Sunny and Blue first. This will free up their current kennel fencing to be used for Cody (coyote), Akeylah (wolf hybrid), Kali (red fox), and Sibella (lynx).
For those who have come out to Cat Tales in the past, you will probably be as excited as we are to know that the rescue trailer that has been a part of our housing will be dismantled. We have had it since 1993 when it arrived, as a rescue, with a lioness, tiger and 3 leopards living in over a years worth of waste. Obviously, we immediately cleaned and sanitized the trailer, attended to the medical needs of the animals and moved them into larger enclosures. With our loving care all of these cats lived well into their 20's. We have since used the trailer for emergency rescues, quarantine, and comfort care. Though it has served many functions over the last 25 years, it is a bit unsightly and there are those guests that just don't understand why it exists. The footprint that the trailer sits on will be part of the new wolf and coyote Play and Enrichment area. We hope to have the rescue trailer out of site by the beginning of December (this is all dependent on Mother Nature and if/when we get snowed on and how much it accumulates.)
Thank you to the folks at Ziggy's for their help with this project! (The "pushers" and the painters are Cat Tales family.)
