Meet our North American Pumas
aka - Cougar, Mountain Lion

Picture

Hope & Jackson

Born September 25, 2019 the brother and sister pair came to us in late 2019 as very small cubs. Originally destined for a zoo in New York, frigid weather made the transfer delayed and Cat Tales was contacted regarding possible placement. We were happy to provide them a forever home. Spotted at birth these siblings have grown into tan adolescents. They are some of the most active cats at Cat Tales being comfortable with the bond of our two and four legged family.
For anyone hoping to tell them apart, Hope is the smaller of the two (on top in this photo) and Jackson is bigger, with a much pinker nose.

Kachina

Born July 19, 2018. She became part of the Cat Tales family in September 2018.  Kachina means powerful spirit. It's undeniable that Kachina is our wild little princess.  All of her energy and personality has come out fully as she has matured, leaving her a headstrong and kooky puma.
Her enclosure is full of toys and furniture, and is constantly receiving more and more upgrades -- including a little pumpkin patch growing outside of her space!

Jewel

Born in the spring 2007, Jewel came to live with us at Cat Tales as her forever home in September 2018 . Though we don't know her full history some physical facts tell her story. What we do know is
as a cub she was privately owned and declawed. After this she was taken in by a wildlife facility for most of her life. She is also missing part of her ear from prior frostbite. We think she is beautiful just the way she is.
She's one of our sweetest girls and she's given all the one on one attention that she desires, along with lots of space for privacy and quiet.  Though her age slows her down at times, you'll often see her coming up to the front of her enclosure to sit with one of our zookeepers.
