Zoo Internships


Zoo Internships are Full Time / Non-Paid (Volunteer) Positions

Requirements for Interns include:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and have graduated from High School (or GED).
  • A commitment of 300 hours over a 12 week period, with a minimum of 24 hours per week. If your schedule does not permit this time commitment consider being a Volunteer
  • An application, interview and background check prior to acceptance.
  • A current physical; and proof of Tetanus vaccination and negative TB test.
  • Being in good health, with the ability to lift 40+ pounds.
  • Adherence to all Cat Tales Zoological Park conduct and safety protocol.
  • Purchase of personal related supplies, Zoo uniform and adherence to dress code.
  • Responsibility for your own housing and health insurance.​​
  • You must be Honest, Dependable, Punctual, Polite, Happy, and Safe.
  • Also, a Self-Starter, a Team Player, and have your own Transportation.
  • Interns will be utilized in all areas of the Zoo as determined by the Management Team.
  • Understanding that Cat Tales cannot authorize college credit,  
  • Interns must personally arrange such credit with their own Professors or Institution.

Intern start dates, at this time are flexible and will be determined on an individual case by case basis.
