Wildlife Center Internships

We are currently scheduling interviews for interns.
​Internships are Non-Paid (Volunteer) Positions.
Intern start dates, at this time are flexible and will be determined on an individual case by case basis.

General Requirements for Interns include:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and have graduated from High School (or GED).
  • A commitment of 300 hours over a 12 week period, with a minimum of 24 hours per week. If your schedule does not permit this time commitment, consider being a Volunteer
  • An application, interview and background check prior to acceptance.
  • A current physical; and proof of Tetanus vaccination and negative TB test.
  • Being in good health, with the ability to lift 40+ pounds.
  • Adherence to all Cat Tales Wildlife Center conduct and safety protocol.
  • Purchase of personal related supplies, required uniform not provided, and adherence to dress code.
  • Responsibility for your own housing and health insurance.​​
  • You must be Honest, Dependable, Punctual, Polite, Happy, and Safe.
  • Also, a Self-Starter, a Team Player, and have your own Transportation.
  • Interns will be utilized in all areas of the Zoo as determined by the Management Team.
  • Understanding that Cat Tales cannot authorize college credit,  Interns must personally arrange such credit with their own Professors or Institution.
