THE CAT TALES TEAM

Picture

Debbie Wyche

Co-founder & Wildlife Director

Also known as Cat One on the radio (or The Mama to crew), Debbie's five previous years of professional zoological work was invaluable when she and her late husband, Mike, decided to open Cat Tales in 1991.  She works tirelessly as an incredible teacher at our wildlife academy, all while being a very familiar face for those who visit.

Lisa Wyche

Executive Director

Having grown up at Cat Tales, working there as a teenager and for many of her young adult years, Lisa uses all of her knowledge to cement herself as a crucial member of our staff.  From educating new students to moving big cats, feeding animals, cleaning exhibits and interacting with guests, there's nothing she can't do.  Cat Tales is a source of pride and joy for her, and a common face for those around the park.

Randy Grey

Operations Supervisor

As one of our more behind the scenes managers, you're less likely to see Randy as you are to hear him over the radio.  An integral part of keeping all the behind the scenes maintenance, construction, inventory, and food preparation flowing smoothly. His easy demeaner contributes to the well-being of the animals and the staff as he continues to make a daily difference at Cat Tales.

Jane

Senior Keeper

From vibrant tours to finishing food prep for the day in record time, it seems like there's nothing Jane can't do.  As one of our students Jane flourishes under the stress and strain of the job, and has quickly become one of our most reliable KICs in many years.  You'll often see her working on training some of our big cats, or training new staff.

Shareyah

Senior Keeper

As a former cheerleader, Shareyah's advancement to keeper in training was no surprise to any of her teachers!  She's an expert at working smoothly with teams and leads her own with confidence and consistent praise to the other students and volunteers that work with her.  Currently, Shareyah is working to clicker train our adult fox, Kali!

Hannah

Animal Care

Coming from Coeur D'alene, Hannah is one of our newly graduated keepers.  She's adapted naturally to the intensive work, and is a source of dry, fun humor that keeps everyone's spirits up.  You've likely met her during an excellent tour, or when she's giving big cat and black bear adventures.  Nothing is too big of a challenge for Hannah.  She's even become friends with some of our more prickly animals!

Angelica

Animal Care

As a graduate of our Wildlife Academy, Angelica and the animals have become fast companions, acting as proof of just how quickly she has become an integral part of our family.  Her fast learning and quick wit makes her an excellent zookeeper, and she's been able to use that skill to adapt to and work with every single one of our animals with ease.

Alice

Admin & Maintenance

The granddaughter of Cat Tales founders, Alice primarily works behind the scenes on the tech side of Cat Tales, running social media and our other online presences.  But when needed elsewhere she's more than happy to assist in anything and everything; most often assigned to maintenance or food prep.

We couldn't do what we do without the hard work and assistance of our Students, Volunteers, and Interns!
