Stitches was born in June of 2009 within the wild of South Dakota. It was there he was found orphaned, without injuries but no sign of what had happened to his mother. Wildlife rescue brought him for a temporary stay at the South Dakota Great Plains Zoo where he was given his name and an all clear for health. At five weeks of age he was sent to Cat Tales Zoological Center for a permanent home - and he immediately settled in. Good genes, good care, and family in the keepers around him have brought Stitches' personality to the forefront.

Nowadays he likes to play 'Watch Cat,' keeping a careful eye on the work of our keepers to make sure that no one slacks off on their job while under his watch.
