“Our tigers are more than majestic creatures—they’re storytellers, educators, and ambassadors for their wild cousins. Step into their world and discover what makes them extraordinary!”
Ambassadors With Stripes
- At Cat Tales, our tigers play a vital role as Wildlife Ambassadors, helping to bridge the gap between people and conservation.
- Through their daily lives, they inspire curiosity, educate about the importance of protecting their species, and connect visitors to the world of wildlife.
- Each tiger has a unique story that showcases their individuality, resilience, and the specialized care they receive at Cat Tales.
Every Stripe Tells a Story
Our tigers represent two subspecies: Siberian Tigers, the largest cats in the world, and Bengal Tigers, known for their vibrant orange coats and unique white variations.
Siberian Tigers: ‘The Snow Kings and Queens’
Did you know fewer than 500 Siberian Tigers remain in the wild today? At Cat Tales, our tigers serve as ambassadors for their species, inspiring visitors to support wildlife conservation.
At Cat Tales Wildlife Center, we are privileged to care for several majestic Siberian Tigers. From playful splashes in their pools to quiet moments in their dens, each tiger brings a unique personality and story to our sanctuary.
Tuga: Geriatric Care Superstar
Tuga, a 17-year-old male Siberian Tiger, was born on November 24, 2007, alongside his siblings Koshka and Sestra. As one of our elder residents, Tuga’s care is tailored to his needs as a geriatric tiger. He receives extra attention to manage his arthritis, with cozy bedding, gentle enrichment, and a comfortable routine. Tuga’s majestic presence and calm demeanor reflect his experience and wisdom, making him a favorite among visitors who admire his quiet strength. Read more about Tuga.
Koshka: The Clever One
Koshka, a 17-year-old Siberian Tiger and Tuga’s littermate and best friend, was also born on November 24, 2007. Unlike his siblings, Koshka is more reserved and thoughtful, often observing his surroundings before engaging with enrichment. His quiet curiosity and graceful movements make him a calming presence at Cat Tales. Koshka’s unique personality highlights the individual traits that make every tiger special. A clever and patient giant at 650 pounds, Koshka is as playful as a kitten, especially when there’s snow or water involved!
Sestra: The Queen of the Pool
“Sestra is a 17-year-old female Siberian Tiger born on November 24, 2007. and the smallest of our Siberians, Sestra embodies the spirit of sisterhood, reminding us of the deep bonds shared between tigers. Unlike her brothers, Sestra is the most active and playful of the trio, often found pouncing on enrichment toys, stalking the zookeepers, or splashing around in her pool. Her bold, confident personality stands out, and her lively nature keeps both visitors and keepers entertained. Sestra’s story reminds us of the joy and energy that comes with tiger care.
Amura: The Observer
Amura, a 14-year-old female Siberian Tiger born on April 13, 2010, is known for her striking beauty and bold personality. As the youngest Siberian Tiger at Cat Tales, she exudes confidence and energy. Amura loves to explore her habitat, interact with enrichment, and showcase her agility. A singleton cub with a special bond—Amura grew up with a puppy companion and now charms everyone with her gentle and playful nature.

Bengal Tigers: ‘The Vibrant Royals’
Did you know that Bengal Tigers are the most numerous tiger subspecies, yet they are still endangered with fewer than 2,500 remaining in the wild? At Cat Tales, our Bengal Tigers play a vital role as ambassadors for their species, raising awareness about the challenges tigers face and the importance of wildlife conservation.
At Cat Tales Wildlife Center, we are honored to care for several magnificent Bengal Tigers, each with a vibrant personality and story to share. Whether it’s playful antics during enrichment activities or regal poses by their habitats, our Bengal Tigers leave a lasting impression on everyone who visits.
Nalin: The White Wonder
Nalin, a 16-year-old white Bengal Tiger born on August 8, 2008, captivates visitors with his rare white coat and serene presence. Rescued when his previous facility could no longer care for him, Nalin has since thrived at Cat Tales Wildlife Center. He enjoys relaxing in shaded areas and engaging with gentle enrichment activities. Nalin’s peaceful demeanor is a testament to the compassionate care he receives, and his majestic presence continues to inspire visitors to support tiger conservation.
Tigger: The Chatterbox
Tigger, one of our beloved Bengal Tigers, was born on May 20, 2010, and arrived at Cat Tales later that year alongside his brother, Zorro. The pair came to us after their previous facility faced challenges providing the care they needed. Now thriving in his forever home, Tigger is the more outgoing of the two and never misses an opportunity to greet his keepers with a friendly chuffle—a tiger’s way of saying hello! Visitors often spot Tigger lounging by his pool, claiming his territory, or showing off his playful side with enrichment activities. He’s a true crowd-pleaser with a personality as big as his roar
Zorro: The Showman
Zorro, Tigger’s quieter brother, was also born on May 20, 2010, and joined Cat Tales later that year. While he’s less extroverted, Zorro has a mischievous streak that shines during feeding time or enrichment sessions. Known for his dramatic splashes in the pool and his preference for protected contact feedings, Zorro is a tiger who enjoys his independence. Living in a separate habitat from Tigger allows Zorro to thrive in his own space, and he’s always ready to make a big impression when the mood strikes. His calm yet playful demeanor makes him a favorite among our keepers.
