Celebrating 35 Years of Wildlife Rescue & Education

July 10–12, 2026
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily
Cat Tales Wildlife Center | Mead, Washington

Thirty-five years ago, Cat Tales Wildlife Center opened its doors to animals that had nowhere else to go β€” and the community has been part of our wild family ever since.

This summer, we’re celebrating with our 35th Annual Wild Things Family Reunion, a weekend full of animals, activities, special guests, and good old-fashioned Cat Tales fun.

Bring a friend, bring the family, and help us celebrate 35 years of wildlife rescue, education, and forever care.

Weekend Highlights

Enjoy a full weekend of family-friendly fun, including:

Wildlife education activities
Free face painting
Creepy, Crawly & Cool critters you can meet up close
A fire truck to check out

And of course β€” our furry and wild family

More details may be added as the weekend gets closer, so check back for updates.

Event Schedule

Help Us Celebrate 35 Years Wild

Our anniversary weekend fundraising goal is $3,500 β€” and yes, we know that’s modest. That’s the point. We want to hit it, celebrate it, and mean it.

A generous donor has pledged to match the first $1,000 raised, dollar for dollar. That means your gift can do twice the good right out of the gate.

Every dollar supports the forever care of our 30+ non-releasable animals, the vocational students training alongside them, and the educational programs that welcome thousands of visitors each year.

No fluff β€” just fur, claws, and a whole lot of purpose.

Online Auction

Can’t make it in person? You can still be part of the celebration.

We’re putting together an online auction to help support the animals during our 35th Anniversary weekend. Bid from home, share with friends, and help us make this a wild success.
